On CNN.com, Drew Weston lets us know Why Obama Won the health care battle.
He attributes it to Obama getting his story together.
But over the past few weeks, that all changed. The president was now telling a compelling story.
Who did Obama’s story convince? Nobody that had a vote.
Weston seems oblivious to the fact that Obama back doored a bill from the Senate to the House to avoid an unfavorable vote outlook in the Senate with the Republicans gaining a seat with the special election of Scott Brown.
He won because he played dirty politics and had the power at the time to go against the will of the governed.
I hope they remember come election time. Ultimately, the power still lies in the hands of Americans. We need to remember that. We elect officials to run the government, not our lives.
