In this post from last February, I wrote that gyms should put a TV and DVD player in their exercise class rooms so patrons could do things like yoga, boot camps and pilates without a live instructor.
Since then, one gym that I frequent has added a small TV with a DVD player. I have used it, bringing my own DVD.
Today I saw Fitness On Demand, a new service that is offering a TV-based personal trainer to gyms, retirement homes, companies, hotels and schools. I wish them good luck!
I can think of several more potential permutations of this idea.
